Dr. Jon D. Payne serves as the organizing pastor of Christ Church Presbyterian. Rev. Payne previously served for 10 years as the senior pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Douglasville, Georgia, near Atlanta (2003-2013). Jon and his wife, Marla, a graduate of the College of Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina (Physical Therapy), met in Charleston in 1997 while Jon was playing soccer for the Charleston Battery. The Paynes have been happily married for 20 years and have two children, Mary Hannah (15) and Hans (13). Rev.
