Howard D. Hines, 81, of Cincinnati, passed away at 10:16 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at his home. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on September 10, 1942, to the late Howard and Pauline (Taylor) Hines. He married the former Peggy Terry on June 1, 1963, and she survives. June 1, 2024 would have been their 61st wedding anniversary. He is also survived by two children: Jennifer (Jim) Hansel and Patrick (Amy) Hines; twelve grandchildren: James, Abigail, Seth, Joel, Paul, Maria, Lily, Hannah, Malachi, Elizabeth, Ruth, and Gianna; brother, William D. (Brenda) Hines; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Howard was a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army. He was a member of CALU, the Union Township Republican Central Committee and Faith Church where he was a member for over 41 years. He loved fishing, singing, playing guitar and growing tomatoes.
