Viewer Questions: Marriage, Praying to Mary, Blasphemy of the Spirit, Tongues - P. Hines Podcast Someone emailed me a bunch of good questions. I’m going to try to answer them all. They are: Matthew 5:31-32 31 It was said also, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: 32 but I say unto you, that every one that putteth away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, maketh her an adulteress: and whosoever shall marry her when she is put away committeth adultery. At the end it says to not marry a woman who has been divorced. But I ask, what if the woman has turned to Christianity after the divorce or it was not her fault for the divorce. Do you think this verse still applies today? If yes, how so? While taking communion, is the flesh and blood symbolic or literal? When there is a a new heaven and a new earth, what will that look like. Is the earth like the earth now, with day and night, plants and animals, but without sin? If so is there death? If not, what is the point of there being a new heaven? What is “speaking in tongues”? What is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? Why do Catholics believe we should pray to Mary and is it unbiblical? If we are pre-destined, why did Jesus have to die on the cross? What spiritual gifts are still active and If not, why?
